(Washington, D.C., January 14, 2025) — The Energy Management Association (EMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) to support collaboration, education, training, and information sharing.
“EMA is very excited to announce this partnership with the National Association of Energy Service Companies,” said Tim Gilbert, CxA, EMP, Impact Cx LLC and EMA President. “We believe that combining our resources can better drive both our missions to advance the energy management and energy efficiency industries plus supporting professionals who provide energy services.”
“Through this partnership with EMA, we can expand access to high-quality training and education, ensuring members of both organizations have the tools to deliver impactful energy efficiency and building performance projects,” said Timothy Unruh, Ph.D., P.E., CEM, LEED AP, Executive Director of NAESCO.
As part of the agreement, NAESCO members will receive discounted access to EMA’s Energy Management Professional Seminars, which emphasize a commissioning-based approach to energy management to maximize energy savings and optimize building performance. NAESCO members will also benefit from Operations & Maintenance Training programs that provide building and facility managers with essential principles to improve energy efficiency and system performance.
In turn, NAESCO will also offer discounts to EMA members to take advantage of NAESCO workshops and attend the NAESCO R3 Annual Conference and Innovation Expo (Nov. 3-5, 2025, Las Vegas).
Being a part of a larger alliance – the Authorities in Building Performance – EMA offers NAESCO members relationship-building opportunities with members of the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) and the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) at events such as CxEnergy 2025 (Apr. 28-May 1, 2025, Charlotte). This network comprises over 600 member companies and 2,500 certified professionals in the testing, adjusting, and balancing, commissioning, and energy management industries.
The Energy Management Association (EMA) is dedicated to delivering education, training, and certification for energy management professionals, helping building owners achieve greater energy efficiency and system optimization through its Energy Management Professional (EMP) Certification program.
The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) is the leading advocacy and accreditation organization for energy service companies, and it is dedicated to modernizing America’s building infrastructure.
