Abstract: Are you ready for Maryland’s new building performance standards under the Climate Solutions Act? Starting in 2025, owners of buildings 35,000 square feet and larger will report energy use to the Maryland Department of the Environment. In 2030, buildings will have to begin meeting interim standards, and in 2040, net-zero emissions will be required.
In this one-day course, learn about the new requirements for Building Owners under the Maryland Climate Solutions Act, as well as resources and tools available to meet them. Our certified and experienced instructors will walk you through the basics of energy management and strategies for limiting greenhouse gas emissions, including establishing building energy baselines and other performance metrics, developing facility benchmarks, low cost/no cost techniques for improving efficiency and performance, code compliance and more.
