(Washington, DC, April 10, 2017) – The Energy Management Association will conduct a seminar and certification exam for its Energy Management Professional Certification (EMP) in Anchorage, AK May 21-22, 2018.

The EMP Program features a commissioning-based process that maximizes energy savings and optimizes building performance. It is designed to ensure EMPs deliver the rapid ROI and ongoing M&V benefits that building & facilities operators demand. The ANSI-accredited EMP Certification has been aligned to conform to the requirements of the DOE Better Buildings® Workforce Guidelines in order to obtain formal recognition in the program.

The two-day event features 12 hours of classroom style instruction followed by the EMP exam. Attendance of the EMP Seminar also provides AIA continuing education credits for the CxA, LEED AP and other certifications and PE licenses (check with your state’s licensing board).

EMA is partnering with long-time EMA Member the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation to offer the opportunity for both Alaska-based and other energy managers to attain an EMP certification in beautiful Anchorage Alaska.
