EMA Announces 900-Site On Demand Testing

Access for EMP Exam

Beginning October 1, 2017, approved candidates for the Energy Management Professional Exam will be able to take the exam through a world-wide network of 900 local testing centers. Interested candidates can find a center near them by using EMA’s vendor
Kryterion’s test center locator.

EMA is in the process of attaining recognition for the EMP program from the Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Workforce Guidelines® program. That designation is expected to be attained early next year.

Complete information about becoming an EMP, including a sample exam and eligibility requirements, can be obtained in the EMP Candidate Handbook. The EMP program offers a unique commissioning-based curriculum that emphasizes both reduced energy consumption and building optimization. This compounds building owner benefits through savings in energy and maintenance costs, increased tenant satisfaction and code compliance.
