Will Conduct EMP Seminar & Exam, Exhibit, Present Workshop at Event


The Energy Management Association has become a Supporting Organization of The Energy 2016 Symposium. The Symposium takes place Nov. 7-10 in Birmingham, AL.

EMA will conduct an EMP Seminar & Exam during the event on Nov. 9-10. Those registering for the EMP Seminar (only) or the Seminar & Exam will be automatically registered for the full conference at no additional charge! Registration for both the EMP Program and Symposium and information on the EMP application process is available here.

The EMP is an energy management certification program created and administered by EMA. It provides a complete framework for a commissioning-based energy management process that achieves maximum energy efficiency and optimum building performance. The instructor for the seminar is EMA President Andy Heitman, CxA, EMP, CEM, LEED AP, and the owner of Building Energy Sciences, LLC. (Download EMP Brochure)

The Energy Symposium is designed for federal energy managers and private sector facility managers and others to satisfy training and continuing education requirements mandated by and address requirements outlined in federal statutes, regulations and executive orders. EMA’s involvement in the Symposium includes conducting an Energy Management Professional (EMP) seminar & exam, providing a workshop on energy retrofits in the education sector.
